CRAFTSMAN STYLE HOME & WYTHE BLUE HC-143

Hey Everyone...A while back I did a posting on Bookcase Dividers here.  One of those amazing Bookcase Dividers was part of an incredible house.  The house both inside and out is all Craftsman Inspired.  Now originally a true Craftsman house was very dark and full of wood.  The now updated version of this style includes a lot of White Trim as well.  I think this really helps to lighten up the "true" classic Craftsman style.

I wanted to share with you some pics of an amazing house. It was built by Moore Architects. Here is the rest of that house:

The Exterior Colours are as follows- all Sherwin Williams:

Trim including Eaves:

Downing Sand SW 2822 (Semi Gloss)

Cedar Shingles:

Downing Earth SW 2820 (Flat)

Stucco:

Downing Earth SW 2820 (Semi Gloss)

Windows:

Polished Mahogany SW 2838 (Semi Gloss)

Paint Colour for Kitchen and Hallway:
Benjamin Moore; Adam's Gold HC-18

Paint Colour for Living Room and Office:

Benjamin Moore Wythe Blue HC-143

Sorry I don't have any info on the paint for this bathroom.  But if I do find it out I will update.  As well I do not know what colour they used for the trim.  If it were me I would probably use either White Dove or Simply White.  But maybe in the future we can find out what colour they used.

You can see why I was smitten with this house.

One source you may want to try to buy Craftsman style lighting is:

1.  Rejuvenation:

$185.00

1.  Rejuvenation:

$205.00

1.  Rejuvenation:

$355.00

So there you have it a little inspiration for Fri.

Have a great weekend everyone.

WHITE CRAFTSMAN STYLE KITCHENS

I think, no wait, I know that one of my favourite styles out there is Craftsman.  I love what it stands for in terms of it's mandate(aesthetics and function), I love all that trim, I love the lines that it creates.  I wish I could fully articulate how I feel about it.  All I know is that when I see a well trimmed out Craftsman it takes me to my happy place.  I hope that some time in the future I am able to build my dream Craftsman.

I thought that I would share with you all some amazing White Craftsman style Kitchens.  I know that a true authentic Craftsman Kitchen would be all wood.  However, I am a white kitchen kinda gal... So here they are:

The previous 3 pics are by Marianne Gassman.  I would link you to her but her website seems to be down/taken down.  I love the lines in this kitchen.  The amazing tile detail.

These two pics are from Goforth Gill Architects.  You should check them out on their website.  They have an elegant simplicity about their designs.

I will call the previous 3 pics a Craftsman/farmhouse hybrid.  But I had to put it in.  I just really liked the cabinetry, tile and counter top.  It was created by Buckenmeyer Architecture.

The previous 3 pics is by Gaspar's.  Again I would say that this is more of a Craftsman/Farmhouse hybrid.

This final one... for today.... is one of my absolute favourites.

This amazing home puts me into the stratosphere of my ultimate happy place.  I am a huge fan of Warmington and North.  I so appreciate the detail they put into their projects-especially this one.  I don't even know where to begin with this kitchen.  The cabinetry, the soapstone counter tops, the tile, the wood, the banquette..........  I could go on and on.  You should really check out their other work- it is amazing.

Well there are a few examples of Craftsman I wanted to share with you all.  Are they TRUE Craftsman's?  No.  But I love the modern interpretation that has been given.  A true craftsman is wood, all wood.  It can tend to be quite dark in tone and feel.  But what I love about this style is the lines; very linear.  And as I said, I am a true white kitchen lover to the nth degree.

Have a great day everyone.

BOOKCASE ENTRYWAYS/DIVIDERS

I have always loved the idea of a bookcase entryway/ wall divider bookcase.  I love that it is both functional and aesthetically pleasing to the eye.  I love how it frames out a doorway.  So I thought I would share with you some great pics for inspiration:

I love how this frames out the fireplace.

This pic is one of my all time favourite entryways.  I love the detail.  I love how the shelves are not only great eye candy but they are very functional as well

True Craftsman detail.  This is how you do it my friends.  Charming and amazing!!

The two previous pics are some of my fav's.  I love all of the trim detail.  The wood detail above the fireplace,  and I of course love the wall colour---- Benjamin  Moore Wythe Blue HC-143!  One of my all time fav's!!

This little lovely is in a basement!!  One would hardly think they were in a basement with all of this detail!

I hope you have enjoyed this little eye candy today.
Have a great day everyone.
