As you all know I love all things Barclay Butera. Does anyone do coastal better? Whether he is doing red, white and blue or silvery greens, he nails it every time.
When I saw two pics of bedrooms he recently completed that is in his new book Barclay Butera Living on the Coast it got me thinking about silvery greens. Here are the rooms:
Just drop me here and leave me!! PLEASE.....
How gorgeous are these two bedrooms?
Now I have NO idea what paint or what paint colour Mr. Butera used but I am going to give you some of my fav's in this category.

Sea Salt SW6204- Sherwin Williams
All time favourite is Sea Salt by Sherwin Williams. Honestly, you just can't go wrong with this one.
I just love the combination of Sea salt and painted boards in this awesome bath.
Here is another view of this awesome bathroom. Carrera Marble and Sea Salt really do look great together.
And just to show that Sea Salt looks great in other places too besides a bathroom, here is an amazing staircase. You should check out the other parts of the house as well here. The house is built by Echelon Custom Homes.
Silver Marlin 2139-50, Benjamin Moore
This truly is a greyed down silvery green. It is a mid toned colour.
This gorgeous room is by Garrison Hullinger. I have been a huge fan of his for awhile. Hope the man doesn't think I am stalking him! I just think that his use of colour, line and texture is so well done. In addition his eye for detail is amazing as well. Check him out here. Although in this pic Silver Marlin looks quite bluish, in reality IT is really very silvery green with no real hint of blue.
In this exterior shot you can see how light really does effect colour. Silver Marlin looks so pretty on these garage doors. Yet if you were to use this colour inside, it would look so much darker. Love, Love this colour here.
Green Tint 2139-60, Benjamin Moore
This is just one down on the paint chip from Silver Marlin. It is a very light silvery green. Would look especially pretty in a bathroom or living room.
Gray Cashmere 2138-60, Benjamin Moore
A more grayer version of Silver Marlin would be Gray Cashmere. It is such a soft watery colour and would look great just about anywhere. It is such a great neutral.
This colour looks so soft in a bedroom. Such a great backdrop.
Steeplechase 70GY 72/025, ICI
I have always loved Steeplechase by ICI. It really is one of those light silvery colours that looks awesome in a bathroom.
This gorgeous room is by Sarah Richardson and was featured on her show Design Inc. some years ago. I always remembered this room. The marble used was a marble with green veining. I see that is was named "Opal Green marble tile". So between the wall colour, the marble and the bead board it was and still is just about perfection for me.
In this Bedroom, Steeplechase has been used as an accent paint colour on two walls. Very Pretty!!
There was a time when Sarah Richardson was know for using watery colours, but like many she has evolved her style-which is great. But I did love it when she used all those watery colours to perfection.
Manchester 29-27, Pratt & Lambert
My final pic for my favourite silvery greens is Manchester by Pratt & Lambert. Again it is one of those lovely light greyed down greens. A really great neutral with some life to it.
It looks so ethereal in this nook with a chaise. Couldn't you just curl up and read here??
Well that's it for now. Hope this gives a little inspiration and maybe a starting point for your silvery green.
Just to let you know that shawl pattern is now up and running on Ravelry here.
Have a great day everyone.
Megan
